How we test every device

Refurbished only means something if someone actually checked. Here's exactly what happens between buying a device in and shipping it to you.

1. Intake and origin

We buy in batches from businesses and lease fleets, so we know where a device comes from. The IMEI is checked against international theft registers and the SIM lock is verified — a blocked device never enters our stock.

2. 60+ checkpoints

Screen (pixels, touch, brightness), battery, all cameras, speakers, microphones, buttons, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, sensors, charging port and housing. Every point is scored individually, not judged “by feel”.

3. Battery measured, not estimated

We read the actual capacity. Below 85%, the battery is replaced — never sold on with a rounded-up number. The exact percentage of your device is in the device passport on the product page.

4. Refurbish, clean, grade

Weak parts are replaced with original or A-grade components. The device is cleaned professionally, reset to factory settings and graded against a fixed scale — so “Very good” means the same thing on every device.

Frequently asked questions

Who does the testing?

Our own technicians in the Netherlands, not an outsourced party abroad. That's also why warranty repairs take 5 working days rather than weeks.

What happens to devices that fail?

They're repaired until they pass, or dismantled for parts. A device that can't meet the standard is never sold.

Do I get proof of the test?

Yes. A test report with the 60+ checkpoints ships in the box, and the key figures are on your product page in the device passport.
